More & Better Transit

What's New

The Georgia Senate recently passed legislation that will enable local governments to raise revenue to fund specific, local transit projects like the BeltLine. Now it's time for the Georgia House of Representatives to follow suit.

How You Can Help

Contact your state legislators and tell them how important it is that we fund commuter rail and public transportation projects to alleviate congestion.

Overview

Atlanta is a great place to live, work, and raise a family, so it’s no surprise that people are moving here. As a result, the city and surrounding regions have grown dramatically.

To ensure that this rapid growth doesn’t overwhelm our region, we need to build a transportation infrastructure that relies on mass transit solutions, not on new road building.

By expanding MARTA and other public transit systems, we’ll get cars off our roads. That means less congestion and pollution and more choices for residents while Atlanta continues to grow.
